Photography at NGU

With an emphasis in Photography, you will learn how to explore light, composition, and visual storytelling through both traditional and contemporary approaches. You will experiment with different processes, study historical and modern photographers, and gain confidence in technical and conceptual practices.

  • Digital Photography: Introduction to digital cameras, editing software, and digital image production.

  • Photography I: Introduction to black and white film photography, including camera operation, film development, and darkroom printing.

  • Photography II: Exploration of alternative photographic processes and creative image-making techniques.

  • Photography III: Proposal and creation of technically proficient, conceptual body of work.

  • Portfolio and Exhibition Procedures: Creation of a final body of photographic work to be presented to the whole department.

  • Senior Seminar: Development of a professional presentation of your final body of work.
